Actress-singer Karen Mok Man-wai hopes her new book of promotional photographs will also help boost awareness of animal rights. Mok, an ambassador for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, said some of the text in her still-unnamed book outlined her views on animal rights and the fur trade. 'There's something very personal - strong feelings and messages - I want to express through the photo album,' said the 34-year-old. The book features archive photos of Mok (below) such as album-cover shots and new images taken by photographer Wing Shya. It's due to go on sale in May to coincide with the release of Mok's new CD, her first for two years, produced by Singaporean musician Peter Li Si Song. Some of the images were taken during a trip to Tibet last year, a region Mok describes as 'a spectacular place with loads of beautiful scenery'. 'I've been to Tibet before for a mainland movie production,' she said. 'It has a magic power. I'd always wanted to go back to take some nice photos.'
