SALES transactions at Discovery Bay dropped by nearly 50 per cent in September, the Discovery Bay Agency spokesman, Vivian Sze, said.

Sales were affected by tighter mortgage restrictions imposed by the Hongkong Bank and Hang Seng Bank in August but prices remained stable, she said.

The leasing market was active in September and high-rise rentals were set to increase further.
