HMV doesn't really cut it for some music fans in Hong Kong. Mainstream melodies and Cantopop send most serious music fans diving for cover. There is, however, succour for those who need it. White Noise Records in Causeway Bay houses some of the most eclectic, experimental and alternative selections of music in Hong Kong. It may be small, but the choice is extensive. If searching for CDs tires you out, you can relax on the sofa; conveniently situated in easy reach of the vinyl selection. If Nordic is your thing, browse through the extensive selection of Icelandic and Finnish offerings. Electronica, indie and drum 'n' bass, through to Le Tigre and Clouddead are de rigueur. T-shirts will be available in April and, sometimes, local bands play on the first floor. White Noise can also source music for you and help with locating elusive imports.
