It's time for a little moonlight spin
Having your CEO moonlight on a different job at night would be frowned upon by most companies. International insurance brokers Marsh, however, benefited from their Hong Kong executive's alternative work skills yesterday.
David Jacob's night job as a DJ and music producer came in handy as he spun for the Marsh corporate box. Having become CEO of Marsh's Hong Kong office only seven months ago, Jacob is enjoying the rugby showpiece for the first time. 'Only a handful of people at the office knew about my DJ-ing before this, but I suppose after tonight everyone will know,' he told CitySeen.
Jacob has been in the insurance business for 15 years and has been also working as a professional DJ since 1998. Those who want to check out his music stylings - progressive to vocal and funky house music, as he described it - need not necessarily find a way to sneak into Marsh's box today. 'I play in Lan Kwai Fong,' he said. 'Hopefully I'll be doing so more regularly in April.'
As for the ideal track for the occasion: So Many Times by Gadjo. 'It's perfect because of the amount you drink and the amount of tries there are and the amount of running back and forth,' Jacob said.
