CANTONESE COMEDY
Local standup comedian Jim Chim Shui-man from Theatre Ensemble will present his solo stage performance, Man of La Tiger - a humorous live act about the plight about men.
The Cantonese-language standup comedy act will run at the Hong Kong Arts Centre's Shouson Theatre until March 27. There will be matinees on Saturday, Sunday, April 3 and 10 at 3pm and additional shows from April 5 to 10 at 8pm. Tickets at $220, $180 and $120, with half-price concessions for students, are available from Urbtix on 2734 9009.
FESTIVAL OF FILMS
Film buffs should not miss the 19th Hong Kong International Film Festival which runs from today until April 6.
Nearly 300 films from around the world - ranging from award-winning films to avant-grade indies - will be screened.
Kicking off the film festival is Stephen Fung Tak-lun's House of Fury which will be screened at 7.30pm tonight at Grand Ocean theatre. The film, starring pop duo Twins and heart-throb Daniel Wu Yin-cho, is a homage to classic kung-fu flicks.
