It's a party where the music is loud, hairstyles favour the bold and the polyester pants are uncomfortably tight. Welcome to the first 3G virtual nightclub for your mobile phone.
After hitting the headlines last year with the world's first 3G virtual girlfriend, the Nasdaq-listed Artificial Life has now created a hip venue for wooing your digital sweetheart.
Buy her a drink and sweep her off her feet on the dance floor before finding a quiet corner for a cosy chat, all in realistic 3D animation.
Mobile phone users enter the virtual nightclub through a digital representation of themselves and can choose from several different floors, each offering a different style of music.
Since the programme is primarily a channel for music delivery, visitors to the venue are not permitted to engage in conversation with other clubbers, except their virtual girlfriends.
'You also can't take drugs in the virtual disco,' said Eberhard Schoneburg, chief executive at Artificial Life.
The digital disco is one of three spin-off games from the virtual girlfriend that the company is working on.
