England's Luke Donald, who finished joint-second in The Players Championship, has confirmed his entry for next month's US$1.5 million BMW Asian Open from April 28 to May 1 in Shanghai. Also joining Donald and star attractions Ernie Els, the world number three, British greats Colin Montgomerie and Nick Faldo and China number one Zhang Lianwei, are Englishman Paul Casey, 2002 Ryder Cup hero Paul McGinley of Ireland, Thomas Bjorn, Jarmo Sandelin and Alex Cejka. Casey and Donald, both 27 and both US PGA Tour regulars, are two of the most exciting young players around, with each making an immediate impact upon turning professional. Donald, the world number 18, added significantly to his standing in golf circles last year when he reeled off his first three European Tour wins. The winner of the 2002 Southern Farm Bureau Classic on the US PGA Tour, Donald followed his Scandinavian Masters title with the European Masters and capped off the year in taking the WGC World Cup.
