Li Hong Yu Director WSP Asia Dr Li joined WSP in June last year from another consulting firm in Hong Kong where she worked as technical director. She has more than 15 years' experience in Britain, Hong Kong and China. Her expertise includes steel, concrete and composite structures for various types of buildings. Her new responsibility within the management team will include being in charge of the company's resource planning and HR development. Aruna Alimchandani Consultant Hudson Ms Alimchandani has substantial experience in the media industry - more than 15 years in advertising, marketing and management roles. At Hudson, she will focus on middle to senior level appointments of sales and marketing professionals in the media, entertainment, travel and tourism sectors. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in marketing. Peter Pollmeier General manager InterContinental Grand Stanford A seasoned hotelier with extensive global experience, Mr Pollmeier has spent more than 30 years working in the hotel industry. He has held management roles in China, Australia and Mauritius. The past 15 years of his career have been spent with the InterContinental Hotels Group where he was general manager for various hotels within the group, including InterContinental Shenyang. Helen Yu Director of sales Langham Hotel Ms Yu is a seasoned hotelier, having started her career in 1987 after completing her hospitality education in Switzerland. She has also worked for other top hotels, including the Hyatt Regency and the Grand Stanford Harbour View (now InterContinental Grand Stanford). In her new role, she will assist Kevin Chuc, director of sales and marketing, in overseeing both the corporate and travel trade business. Andrea Williams Director Ambition Careers & Recruitment Ms Williams recently moved to Hong Kong from Ambition's headquarters in Sydney, where she was director of the company's banking and financial services division. Here, she will lead Ambition's banking and financial services and commerce and industry teams, which focus on accounting and audit opportunities. She has more than 11 years' experience in recruitment. Erica Ng General manager Chamber Services Ms Ng joined the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce in August 1996 and has worked in the international business, membership marketing, public relations and programmes departments. She is a seasoned professional in organising large-scale business events, especially international conferences, business seminars, press conferences and networking receptions. Richard Chan Chief financial officer SIM Technology Group Mr Chan joined the company last July. He previously worked as chief finance officer at E-Mice Solutions (HK) and Chinatron Group Holdings. He also served as financial controller of SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings and EMI Hong Kong. Before that, Mr Chan held financial management positions in Merrel Dow Pharmaceutical (Canada), a subsidiary of Dow Chemical.
