'Me Tarzan, you ... gonna ground me?'

Singer Jacky Cheung Hok-yau recently revealed he got into trouble as a kid when he trashed his house while pretending to be Tarzan. Cheung, who is a spokesman for Hong Kong Disneyland, said that of all the Disney characters, he most admired the vine-swinging Tarzan because of Tarzan's bravery and independence, local papers reported yesterday.

'When I was young I wanted to imitate Tarzan, so I used a large towel as my costume and tied it to the curtains. Then I would imagine I was in the jungles and could fly from place to place by swinging.'

The result, naturally, was that the house became a mess. 'My mum found out and she was so mad she ignored me for a couple of days,' Cheung said.
