An adaptation of The Fantasticks, the longest running musical in the world, will be staged at the Academy for Performing Arts (APA) this month. Created by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, The Fantasticks is about a boy and a girl whose fathers plot to get their children to fall in love by keeping them apart. The musical touches upon the subjects of life, love and the pitfalls that await the innocent along the road to maturity. The Hong Kong version is adapted and directed by APA drama student Cheung Chi-kit. The main cast includes fellow students Chu Pak-hong, Rebekah Ling, Lo Cheuk-on and Wong Hiu-yee.
