Pretty boy Aaron shows his dorky side
When acclaimed art director Cheung Suk-ping looked at Aaron Kwok Fu-shing, he saw that inside the singer/actor's pretty boy image there was a dorky police cadet with ugly hair wanting to get out.
Kwok and Cheung were taking part in director Benny Chan Muk-shing's latest movie, Divergence. 'When [Cheung] saw me he turned to my hairstylist, Herman, and told him to give me a crew cut. You know, the really dorky, unfashionable kind,' Kwok said.
And a bad haircut wasn't the only transformation Kwok had to go through for the movie.
'Cheung also said that I was to wear no make up at all throughout the movie, and I had to grow a little moustache and have bristle on my chin.'
An Aaron Kwok made to look unattractive? It's certainly a departure from the usual, but then why go through all the trouble of casting him in the first place, we wonder?
