Hong Kong's first music video DVD featuring local indie band sound has been released.

Bands and artists involved in the 10-song compilation, Come Out and Play, include My Little Airport, inLove, 22 Cats, OLIVER, Sanskrit, The Swamp, Vibration, Tai Tau Fat, Seasons Lee and Ketchup.

Released by local label 89268, Come Out and Play is a low-cost production, with no fancy visual effects, no glamorous settings or expensive wardrobes.

But the DVD shows the dedication of the bands, as well as its Hong Kong-based music directors - Eric Kot Man-fai, Tsunoda Kaori, Kwok Leung, Wilson Cheng, michaelmichaelmichael, Eddie Lau and Chow Sai-kau.

The bands, most of whom had not produced any music videos before, enjoyed the experience.

'We don't really have the time and money to do a music video on our own. We're glad that someone was willing to handle the project,' said My Little Airport's Lam Pang (aka P). He and bandmate Nicole Au Kin-ying are final-year journalism students at Shue Yan College.

Their video, The OK Thing To Do On Sunday Afternoon Is To Toddle In the Zoo, is about their favourite spare-time activity - checking out the music store Zoo Records in Mongkok.
