If you have a few years of solid human resources (HR) experience behind you and hanker to leap up to the next rung of the ladder, this could be your lucky day.
A leading independent firm of certified public accountants and business advisers specialising in providing clients with a range of integrated services would like to hire a new HR and administration officer.
In addition to offices in Shenzhen and Macau, Baker Tilly Hong Kong has 170 partners and staff based in Hong Kong.
The firm is represented internationally through its membership of Baker Tilly International, the eighth-largest network of accounting firms worldwide by fee income.
'This position has arisen as a consequence of significant growth in our firm,' said Janet Bibi Ferreira, senior manager of HR at Baker Tilly Hong Kong.
'We believe in investing in our people,' she said. 'As a result, the new [recruit] is required to handle staff matters, nourish a strong firm culture and ensure we can provide a friendly working environment to employees. We believe this will reduce staff turnover and strengthen staff commitment to the firm.'
General administrative duties boil down to maintaining employees' HR-related records, consulting with employees on administrative and personnel matters, preparing employment references and, last but not least, assisting in the implementation of procedures to maintain a friendly working environment.
