Beifeng Mountain gets the adrenaline pumping with river rafting and loads of other outdoor fun

One of Jiangmen?s best-kept secrets, Beifeng Mountain offers visitors the chance to river raft through spectacular pine-studded gorges and monkey habitats, splash past thundering waterfalls and row across placid lakes. The less adventurous can enjoy hiking, swimming, barbecue pits, basketball, a children?s playground, karaoke and disco.

Located a 60-yuan taxi ride from Taishan city, Beifeng Mountain features a four-kilometre river rafting course with both natural and man-made shoots. It takes about 80 minutes to finish and costs 138 yuan per person, at two to a raft. Rafting is available from 9am to 5pm daily from April to November, weather permitting. Wear swimming gear ? most fun lovers are drenched after the first or second shoot. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
