You might say it's not a real job and no doubt plenty of wage slave professionals, slugging it out for 16 hours a day, would agree with you - but then again, who cares about the hours, the stress and the existential terror if you are able to retire at 35.
Just ask Citigroup head of research Otto Wong, who at that tender age is getting out of the game, hoping to spend more time with his family while pushing the envelope in his hobbies of endurance racing and triathalon.
