No, it's impossible for Hong Kong people to stop buying Japanese goods.  Many people have   mobile phones or digital cameras made in Japan. It's meaningless to boycott Japanese goods for just a short period of time. It wouldn't have any impact. But I am angry about  Japan's attitude.  I can't understand  how it can gloss over  historical facts.

No. I'm studying  politics,  so I know that boycotting a country's goods    has a much bigger impact than just on the economy. In fact, many Japanese products are not completely  manufactured in Japan. Some parts are produced or assembled in  developing countries, including China. If we stop buying Japanese goods,  people in those countries will  lose their jobs.

Yes, but only for a short time. I will not buy any Japanese goods until Japan changes its textbooks. It  would be impossible to stop buying Japanese goods forever because Japanese brands are readily available in Hong Kong.  There's plenty of evidence on what Japan did to China during the war. We have to let Japan know that we're angry.

No, it's impossible for Hong Kong people to stop buying Japanese goods.  If we did, we   wouldn't have  much choice. Japan is the trendsetter of Asia. Many people wear Japanese clothes and shoes. I support the central government's  negotiations with  Japan   to peacefully  settle  the row. Protests  are a good way of expressing our anger, but I don't approve of the  extreme behaviour that people have been exhibiting.
