RHINO horns are sold illegally in Hong Kong. The killing of rhinos in Asia and Africa is increasing. The Chinese pharmacy shops in Hong Kong sell the rhino products and profit by this. However, rhino horns can be substituted by other medicine. The Government should impose strict fines on those importing and selling rhino horns. They should also send representatives to those countries where the killing of rhinos is increasing rapidly and discuss the problem with other representatives. The Agriculture and Fisheries Department and customs officers should work out a way of stopping these horns coming into Hong Kong. We, as citizens of Hong Kong, should avoid buying rhino horns.
