Taiwanese actor-singer Richie Jen Hsien-chi wants to be just like Jacky Cheung Hok-yau - as a father. The 38-year-old star is expecting his first child, a daughter, next month and said he realised he'll have to make some adjustments to his celebrity lifestyle. 'I'll take Hok-yau as my role model,' he said, during a whirlwind visit to Hong Kong this week to attend an Adidas anniversary party. 'I'm still thinking how I should handle it,' he said. 'I think I'll need to make some adjustments to my work. But it shouldn't affect me too much.' Jen launched his music career in 1990, scoring a hit with Heart Too Soft in 1996. In 2000, his career reached another high with the movie Summer Holiday, which also starred Sammi Cheng Sau-man. 'I hope I can play every role in my life well,' he said. 'I've never been a father. I'm not sure if I can be a good father. But I'll try hard to learn.' Jen (right) is taking a month off work after being injured in a cross-country motorcycle competition in Thailand last month, in which he fractured his right leg and a finger. But he said the time off would be a good chance for him to seriously think about his future - and guarantee being there for the birth.
