Launched in conjunction with the film last November, The Incredibles is a snappy, interactive action-adventure video game published by California-based entertainment software firm THQ. The Incredibles, a Pixar Animation Studios film, tells the story of a family of undercover superheroes who are trying to live a quiet, suburban life but are forced back into action to save the world. Its video game release - including voice track, music and action sequences - are based on the same storyline. Role playing, on either the Macintosh or Windows platform, will mean trying on the superpowers of each family member. Mr Incredible allows a player to flex those digital muscles. The patriarch of this super family can lift and hurl heavy objects with ease and smash through walls like they were papier mache. As Mrs Incredible, players will enjoy stretching their limbs to ridiculous lengths, shapes and forms. The former Elastigirl also delivers a mean, spinning attack to take down multiple enemies in one go. The super couple's frail-looking daughter, Violet, eludes enemies by turning invisible. When attacked, she can also surround herself with an invisible, impenetrable force field. Dash is the younger brother whose attack and defence moves are all based on his incredible speed. The game is played on 18 levels - including in a dense metropolis of high-rise buildings, in residential suburbs and on a tropical island - where a player collects points from exploring each of these stages. But some controls for characters to perform during fight situations are not easy to use, which means repeated clicks that slow down a game. There is an assortment of codes which a player can use to crack open the game's Secret Menu. Players can click on Battle Mode when facing waves of enemies. The Incredibles Specifications Price: $188 Pros: Excellent 3D animation and humorous soundtrack Cons: Some combat controls are difficult to use
