Five Parks to ride and enjoy
There are five official skate parks in Hong Kong where skateboarders can practise and test their skills.
Lai Chi Kok Park Skate Arena is the newest and features a fun box, a pyramid, ramps, mogul courses and simulated street areas with flat bar
rails and concrete ledges. It's open till 10pm and can also be used for BMX and inline skating.
The YMCA King's Park Centenary Centre in Yau Ma Tei has a skate park and also organises inline skating and sport-climbing lessons. Call 2782 6682 for information. The skate park at the Warehouse Teenage Club in Aberdeen has a concrete mini-ramp and a street obstacle area. Call 2873 2244 for details.
There are two more small government skate parks - one in Chai Wan, next to the public pool, and another near Morrison Hill, Wan Chai, next to Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
