I REFER to Tom Hilditch's essay ''Money for nothing and chicks for free'' (Sunday Morning Post Magazine, October 10). I merely want to suggest Hilditch should not generalise Filipinas. Perhaps his comments were made for the innocent ones to be wary, but it was a degrading characterisation of a human, made clear by the statement: ''Soft-hearted Filipinas with savings accounts are easy prey for passing Nigerians.'' Of course, my eyes are open to those women who are desperate - but are they all Filipinas? I am sure 90 per cent of the Filipina population has self-respect. NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
