The new Xda IIi, from mobile communications systems provider O2 promises a faster, more versatile wireless data experience. Encased in a sleek exterior, the premium personal digital assistant-cum-GPRS phone packs more power and features than O2's earlier Xdas.
It runs on a 520-megahertz Intel XScale PXA272 chip, with the latest Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket Phone Edition operating system from Microsoft. It is built with a 1.3-megapixel camera, 3.5-inch display, 802.11b wireless local area network connection, Bluetooth 1.2 link, and a full suite of business productivity tools and applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Internet Explorer. With its ActiveSync application, a user's appointments, contacts, address books and e-mail can be synchronised between the device and a laptop in mere seconds.
The O2 Xda IIi is priced at $6,988 and includes a year's warranty.
