Bid to steal exam papers
Two staff of the Examinations and Assessment Authority tried to steal Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination question papers, it was revealed yesterday.
The authority said in a statement released last night that two of its staff were caught attempting to steal a pack of sealed HKCEE questions.
It immediately reported the matter to police, who were now handling the case.
'In this incident, no question papers have been lost and there is no evidence indicating that any question papers were leaked,' the statement said.
Stressing that no examinations had been affected, the authority said it would ensure fairness in all coming exams.
'The authority believes its existing security system is effective and will further review measures to prevent similar cases,' it said.
