A challenging role with a well-known Hong Kong company has just cropped up for those who know enterprise resource planning (ERP) and can fill the post of production planning control supervisor. Maxim's Caterers is renowned for its high-class food and stylish eating outlets. The main responsibilities of this new position include assisting with the implementation of the ERP system in different manufacturing operations. He or she will also generate product costing and job costing analyses, formulate and monitor master production schedules, track inventory availability for production, anticipate production problems and recommend appropriate action plans. Maxim's ideal candidate will hold a diploma in information technology, industrial engineering or business management. High preference will be given to candidates who offer the company at least three years' experience in industrial engineering, work flow studies and production planning and control, not to mention hands-on experience with ERP systems. Applicants must have good computer skills in Chinese word processing, Microsoft Word and Excel. Fluency in written and spoken Cantonese and English, along with strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, are required. Candidates should be able to work independently and under pressure - and not be fazed by the thought of working overtime or on a shift basis.
