What the final draft says . . .

The document up for consultation makes the following proposals:

A board of governors would replace the current 132-member foundation and nine-member executive committee, which would be responsible for setting strategic direction, monitoring strategy, and reporting on performance. It would have up to 25 members, with people external to the ESF among the majority. School councils would mirror the responsibilities of the board.

An executive management team, led by the chief executive, would execute schools strategy, support and monitor education, and manage resources. The team would be determined by the chief executive in consultation with the board.
