FOR THE FOURTH year, CLP Power takes part in HOFEX to continue its crusade to promote effective use of power in restaurants. The company will feature a booth promoting '5-Star Commercial Kitchen' and 'All Electric Home' concepts.
CLP Power has been an active promoter of electric cooking, which it says is safer, more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The benefits are often overlooked, including the reduction of heat loss - and hence, the consumption of power; a more comfortable kitchen to work at in terms of temperature and noise level; better hygiene and less smoke - which means a smaller, less power-consuming ventilation system is needed.
Not only do these conditions save costs, they also enhance the performance of the kitchen and, therefore, increase the competitiveness of restaurants. This is particularly true in Chinese kitchens that require a lot of stir-frying.
CLP Power will also once again support the Hong Kong International Culinary Classic competition, along with sponsor Hongkong Electric.
