Harilela splashes out on extra space for its spa equipment
HARILELA STRATEGIC Group is one of the largest exhibitors at Hofex, with 324 square metres of exhibition space spread across two blocks.
'We are showing five of our companies,' group executive director Raju Harilela said. 'Harilela Strategic Group has many trading divisions and each of the divisions is focused very much on the hospitality business, so Hofex is the perfect show for us because it really does bring all the buyers together in one place.'
The companies represented at the show are Equip Asia, which specialises in tableware and hotel operating equipment and supplies; Pacific Rim Trading, which supplies linen and fabrics to hotels, restaurants and clubs; and Restaurant Management Technologies, which supplies point-of-sale systems and will be launching a new sales and reservations system as well as new spa software at the show.
Also on the stand are Azian-I, a new brand of tableware, glassware and other hotel equipment manufactured to the group's specifications by Asian factories, and Pure Spa Asia, which specialises in spa equipment.
'The hotel business has been undergoing a lot of change and the space that used to be dedicated to food and beverage outlets is increasingly being dedicated to wellness and spa related areas,' Mr Harilela said.
Responding to this trend, the group developed Pure Spa Asia as a specialist spa equipment company. It has been involved in projects for the new Four Seasons Hotel, the Langham, The Peninsula and the Shangri-La group.
