Good news for those of you who are sick of waiting forever for Hollywood movies to reach our cinemas (by the time they get here, the hype has long been dead and you don't feel like spending that $75 anymore). Our film editor received an invitation for a press screening of Stars Wars: The Revenge of the Sith tomorrow, meaning many people will have already watched it before the international gala premiere on Monday at the Cannes Film Festival. Hollywood blockbusters are now subject to a simultaneous world-wide release policy in an effort to combat piracy, with the international release of the new Star Wars movie set for May 19. But with all those extra prints, does the film company actually save any money? Let's hope they do and keep the movies coming early! Last week, Kingdom of Heaven opened in theatres big and small all over the world. And don't expect to have to hold your breath much longer for the much awaited Mr and Mrs Smith (the film that may or may not have brought Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together).
