Updated at 3.56pm: Customs officers on Wednesday seized 50 kilograms of high-grade ketamine from a container truck at Lok Ma Chau Control Point. A spokesman said on Thursday the designer drug, worth up to $11.8 million, was found inside the driving compartment of the truck ? which was about to depart for the mainland. Officers arrested a 44-year-old man, the spokesman said. The man will be charged with trafficking in the dangerous drug. He will appear in Fanling Magistrates? Courts on Friday. In March, customs officers seized a record 87.5kg of high-grade ketamine at Chek Lap Kok airport. In recent years, ketamine and other designer drugs have become more popular in Hong Kong ? particularly with young people at ?rave? parties.
