O'Sullivan makes Triple Trio jackpot look, oh, so Easy

A jackpot of $5.6 million in the Triple Trio pool adds plenty of spice to the Champions Mile meeting at Sha Tin tomorrow where the Paul O'Sullivan-trained Easy Game makes plenty of appeal as banker material in the opening leg.

The progressive galloper registered back-to-back victories and his demolition of Class Four opposition over the Sha Tin mile on May 1 was indicative of a horse that will have no trouble with the rise in grade.

He flew home in the final quarter-mile, coming from virtually last on the turn to clock an amazing 22.3 seconds.

Diamond Era finished third to Easy Game and, based on that performance, warrants respect.

Shining Day scored over the all-weather mile on his last start. He is on the upgrade and looks capable of figuring in the finish once again.

Liverbird may not have been ideally suited with the blinkers applied on his last run, but with that piece of gear being removed he can be given one more chance.

Gold Sandfield moved reasonably well in an all-weather trial and can fill a minor place.

The best option for banker in the middle pin is Sean Woods-trained Victory Turbo, who finished a decent fourth behind Courageousheart over 1,800m.

Sunday Delight finished third to Courageousheart and has performed well since then.

Tattletale showed marked improvement last start when second to Double Pleasure over the course and distance and while he can be a shade inconsistent, he is capable of hitting the frame.

The drop back in trip is not a major problem for Sniper, who is holding his form well while Triumph has been racing well and cannot be denied place claims.

The obvious choice for banker in the final leg, which is the Champions Mile, is naturally Silent Witness. The unbeaten sensation steps up to the mile for the first time, and while he strikes some quality opposition, it is difficult to imagine him not hitting the frame.

British entry Attraction could be used as the second element for a 'double-banker'. She is all class and her overseas form, which includes three classics, is quite exceptional.

Town Of Fionn ran a game second to Silent Witness in the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup over 1,400m and based on that performance must be kept safe.

Bullish Luck has been racing tremendously well over the course and distance this term and must be given a good chance once again, while much the same applies to Sambuca.

The logical choice for banker in the third event is Racing Spirit, who ran into a highly progressive Shiny Ribbon last time. He returns to the straight course and should manage to go one better.

Healthy has decent form over the course and distance and has place claims while Century Super Star, Dantheman and Lord Cairns are all making their respective debuts and have shown enough potential to warrant respect.
