Sponsors are giving away hundreds of tickets to students for the charity game between Italian league leaders Juventus and local First Division side Kitchee at Hong Kong Stadium on June 4. The first 800 entries in Japanese camera brand Canon's photo competition will each receive a ticket. The deadline is Friday. The company has received only 100 entries so far. 'We invite school children to photograph a community activity, and then describe the photograph in no more than 50 words,' said Kensaku Konishi, president and chief executive officer of Canon Hongkong. 'The theme of the photo should be 'health, or community activities, working and living together for the common good, or cherishing life.' As well as the tickets, three cameras and seven printers will be given to the 10 most outstanding entries. 'We hope giving out free tickets will encourage teenagers and inspire their interest in soccer,' said Mr Konishi. Juventus closed in on their 28th Serie A title with a 2-0 win over Parma last Sunday. Juventus lead defending champions AC Milan by five points with two games to play. Milan next host Palermo on Friday, while Juventus will play at Livorno on Sunday. With tickets for the Kitchee versus Juventus match priced at an 'affordable' range from $150 to $580, organisers hope to attract a decent crowd and 'enhance the soccer atmosphere'. Tickets are now on sale through the internet. Kitchee chief executive Ken Ng Kin confirmed that three key Juventus players - Alessandro Del Piero, former European Footballer of the Year Pavel Nedved and Lilian Thuram - would definitely show up, while he believed there was 'a good chance' that Frenchman David Trezeguet would also come to Hong Kong. To enter the Canon competition, send a photo and short description (including name, school and contact number) to Candy Mau, Canon Hongkong, 19/F, The Metropolis Tower, 10 Metropolis Drive, Hunghom, Kowloon.
