Girl calls police after mother attacks lover
A 12-year-old girl called the police when her mother attacked her live-in boyfriend, 40, with a pair of scissors in the family's public housing flat in Wong Tai Sin in the middle of the night. After the woman, 42, slashed the man's hands, he grabbed the scissors and stabbed her in the arm. The pair were taken to hospital after the fight in the flat in Lung Wing House, Wong Tai Sin Lower Estate. Both have been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
identity of hanged man still a mystery
Police are appealing for information about a man found hanging from a tree in Kwun Tong last month. The man, aged about 20, was 1.67 metres tall, thin and had short hair. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved T-shirt and black jogging pants and had a blue rucksack when police discovered him near Tsui Chung House, Tsui Ping Estate, on April 21. Three policemen were injured when a suspected drug courier rammed a stolen motorcycle into them in Mongkok. Officers seized more than 30 packets of party drugs including Ice from the man. Last night, police were still looking for a woman, suspected of being his accomplice, who managed to escape during the struggle.
