Yenn Wong Pui-yain, owner of JIA - Hong Kong's first boutique hotel - welcomed socialites, celebrities and friends earlier this month for two nights of parties to celebrate the opening of the hotel's signature restaurant and lounge OPIA.

Guests raised their champagne flutes to congratulate designer Andre Fu Hau-man on the restaurant's impressive, free-spirited interior.

Award-winning celebrity chef Teage Ezard flew in from Melbourne to ensure the 60 VIPs enjoyed a meal to remember. Each course was served with a different wine, and each time Ezard explained how the particular wine complemented the food.

On the second night, 300 people turned out to enjoy cocktails that were served until well past midnight. Girls dressed in diamond and silver mesh served delicious canapes.

Guests included Claudia Shaw d'Auriol, Yumiko Kuok, Reyna and Mahesh Harilela, Francois and Dorothee Delage, Laetitia Yu Kit-wai, Darren and Caroline Shaw, Brian Chow Lap-king and Ana Rivera, Benjamin and Claire Hsu-Vuchot, Shirley Li Tam Mei-tak and Levina Li, Tania Mohan, Lionel Fischer and Vicky Lam, Harry and Shirley Hiranand, Brenda and Kai-bong Chau, Teresa Cheung Siu-wai and Isabella Kau Hung-ping.
