A Beijing primary school alleged to have staged strip shows is being investigated by the police.
An errenzhuan troupe from the northeast staged the strip shows three nights in a row at the Yuhui Primary School in Naizifang village in the city's Chaoyang district, the Mirror newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The two-hour shows had been very popular among villagers because tickets only cost 5 yuan and it was a 'popular folk art form', the report said.

About 700 people, mostly young men, had flocked to the school each night, the report said.
Audiences even reportedly included young pupils accompanying their parents.
