Divers recover body of boy, 16, from seabed
The body of a 16-year-old boy who went missing while playing in shallow water off the Pokfulam coast on Wednesday was discovered by Fire Services divers on the seabed yesterday after a 51/2 hour air-and-sea search. Chan Ka-bun, a Form Three student at Caritas Chong Yuet Ming Secondary School in Wah Fu Estate, was found 30 metres under water off Waterfall Bay Park just before 12.30am.
Search for parents of girl, 7, found on street
Police are looking for the parents of a seven-year-old girl found sleeping outside a food stall in Tuen Mun. The girl left home in Shun Fung Wai at about 1pm on Wednesday and wandered around the village before being found by a man at about 2am yesterday. Police were called when the man took the girl to her home and no one answered the door.
Shock kills barge worker
A 61-year-old worker died after being electrocuted on a barge off Port Island, northeast of Hong Kong. He was pumping water when the accident happened just after 5.30am. Colleagues told police they heard him scream as he was hurled against a wall by the shock.
