Hong Kong's So Sau-wah and Lo Ting-wai reached the semi-finals of the men's lightweight double sculls at the World Cup Regatta in Eton, England, yesterday before falling short of the final. The pair had an impressive race in the heat in the opening day with a third-place finish, with a time of six minutes and 41.32 seconds, earning them a direct entry to yesterday's semi-finals. However, they could not go further as they were last in that race and will now compete in today's B final to decide seventh to 12th places. In the men's lightweight single sculls, leading rower Law Hiu-fung narrowly missed out on a place in the semis when he finished behind Greek sculler Dimitrios Mougios in a time of 7.21.81. Law will now have to settle for a place in the C final for places 13 to 18. In the women's lightweight singles, Lee Ka-man finished fourth in heat with a time of 8.18.66. She will compete in the D final.
