Eighteen love songs sung by well-known singers makes Voices of Love the ultimate album for romantics. Don't Know Why by Norah Jones and The Look of Love by Diana Krall are typical coffee shop jazz songs that are perfect for a study break. Also included are Sarah McLachlan's I Will Remember You, which has already been included in at least a dozen other CD compilations. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face is a typically slow-tempo George Michael track marked by his soft and tender voice. A personal favourite is Stacey Kent's What the World Needs Now is Love. Kent's sweet and melancholic voice is accompanied by a glittering piano performance. The effect is moody and touching. Joss Stone's Fell In Love with a Boy has funky and witty lyrics, making it a fun party song. Other tracks such as Dream a Little Dream of Me by Tony Bennett and k.d. lang as well as La Vie En Rose by Lisa Ono are familiar tunes. But it is nice to have them all in one album for about $100. In this case, money can buy love.
