It has outstanding oil control and a soft texture that leaves skin feeling silky. Good to use before applying makeup. But its claimed pore-tightening and blemish  prevention effects are not immediately noticeable.

Fancl Cleartune Oil Control Powder ($175)

It provides immediate shine control. If your skin is very oily, use it  in place of  compressed powder to set makeup or gently pat it over the oily T-zone for a matte finish.

Lancome Pure Focus Moisturising Lotion Perfect Long-Lasting Shine Control (50ml/ $280)

This lightweight  fluid instantly reduces facial shine. It can be used on  the T-zone or the whole face as it won't dry skin.

Clinique's Pore Minimiser T-Zone Shine Control  (15ml/ $110)

The oil control effect is good and long-lasting. It can be used both under and over makeup. Leaves a  natural look but  doesn't have a pore minimising effect.

Smashbox Compact Anti-Shine ($225)

Packaged in an attractive miniature-sized compact, its powdery texture gives skin a shine-free look without added  weight. Best used after applying makeup. But the sponge is small and too soft,  making it slightly difficult to handle.
