The Hong Kong Youth Arts Festival (HKYAF) is looking for energetic actors, singers and dancers for their Broadway musical Fame. The well-loved musical will be directed by Lindsey McAlister, with Scott Gibson as musical director and choreography by Jun Mabaquiao. There will be 10 shows in November at the Art Centre's Shouson Theatre. Interested parties should register at www.hkyaf.com for the audition on Saturday. Call 2877 2656 for enquiries. The HKYAF is also organising a tie dye visual art project to raise funds for Orbis and promote awareness of the problem of blindness. More than 10,000 students will each donate at least $10 to learn different tie dye methods, which they will put to use in creating a round shape or pattern that symbolises an eyeball. Their works will be exhibited at Pacific Place in Admiralty from July 8 to 12. Call Wendy on 2802 9455 or Ah Yan on 2877 2779 to join.
