Even though 15 months have passed since Stanley Ho Hung-sun's first wife, Clementina Angela Leitao Ho, passed away, she has not been forgotten.
A Caritas community theatre in northern Macau is named after the late Mrs Ho, as Mr Ho donated 5 million patacas and a Steinway & Sons grand piano to the Catholic charity.
Joined by Macau's Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau-wah, Macau bishop Jose Lai Hung-seng and Caritas director Paul Pun Chi-meng, Mr Ho, 83 (pictured with Mr Pun), cut the ribbon to inaugurate the 800-seat theatre. A stiff but energetic Mr Ho proved his vitality by cutting the ribbon on the count of two as the emcee was counting to three.
Although the event pays tribute to the mogul's first wife, his fourth wife, Angela Leong On-kei, showed no awkwardness as she sat next to her husband during a piano performance by Hong Kong pianist Cheng Wai.
Another casino kingpin, Fujian community leader Chan Ming-kam, who owns the Golden Dragon Casino-Hotel, an electronic appliances chain and one of Macau's largest tour operators, joined the philanthropic occasion by pitching in 1 million patacas.
