Construction of Hong Kong Community College (HKCC)'s new campus has started in Hunghom Bay.

The 17-storey building  will provide abundant indoor and outdoor space for learning, socialising  and meetings  between students and teachers. It is expected to be completed in summer 2007.

Facilities include a library, computer centre, cafeteria, multi-purpose hall, laboratories and design studios.

By 2010, the student population of the HKCC is expected to reach 6,600. Earlier this year, the college was granted another site in West Kowloon and a loan of $458 million for the construction of its second campus.
