At this time of year, most students are putting all their time into studying. Exams are coming. The mere mention of the word 'exam' makes students nervous. It's a time when we have to remember everything we've learned. So what am I doing to prepare for the exams? Not a lot, to be honest. As I get older, my perception of time changes. The last semester was over in an instant. Fortunately, I can remember events from the beginning of the term. I know I'm supposed to be studying. The trick is to motivate yourself to study - something I'm very bad at. Maybe my new perception of time can explain why I start playing video games and the next time I look at the clock, four hours have gone by. Have you noticed that around this time of year, when you're working hardest, there are more things to distract you? I recently got a new video game from a friend, and I've spent about 21 hours on it in the past four days. I believe that I'm the brunt of a cosmic joke. Whenever I start working, a deity from somewhere will bother me with distractions - not unlike when my idiot friends decide to prank call me. I'd like to believe this isn't the case. The possibility of beings who wield immense powers and yet think like my friends is scary. I've come to a solution: I'm going to barricade my room and plug my ears so I won't hear anything. ''I'm going to barricade my room and plug my ears so I won't hear anything''
