DO YOU WANT TO DANCE? Local dance company DanceArt is looking for 60 budding artists to perform in their multimedia show Andersen's LOOKbook 2005. The show is part of the International Arts Carnival. The audition is taking place on June 11 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Applicants must be aged 13 to 22. Shortlisted candidates will be expected to attend a series of intensive workshops from July 7 to August 14. They will learn hip-hop, jazz and modern dance as well as rap and stage make-up. DANCE-VIDEO-CIRCUS PERFORMANCE Lyon Opera Ballet from France will stage Tricodex, a spectacular contemporary dance performance featuring 28 dancers, 150 costumes and video projections. The show was inspired by Codex Seraphinianus, the fanciful encyclopaedia created by Italian artist and naturalist Luigi Serafini that shows a world of mythical animals, imaginary plants and flying machines. Choreographer Philippe Decoufle brings the imaginary to life by blending dance with circus and visual arts. Tricodex will be staged today and tomorrow, at 7.45pm, at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre.
