There was hard tackling last night when sailors from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, swapping their sea legs for soccer boots, took on local players from the Kwun Tong Sports Promotion Association in Kowloon Bay. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier arrived in Hong Kong last week. The stopover, the first of this tour of duty, gives the 5,000-strong crew a chance to rest and explore Hong Kong.
