During brunch on Sundays, CitySeen often overhears: 'I'm so hungover, I really need to detox.' If this is you, good news. Life Cafe, an organic deli, will hold a raw food seminar on Saturday at 10 Shelley Street in SoHo. Raw food, especially sprouted and fermented, is good for your health. Uncooked foods have essential enzymes, vitamins and minerals that aid digestion. These are often destroyed in the cooking process. Admission to the seminar, which runs from 11am to 12.30pm, is $100, with all the proceeds being donated to the child welfare scheme. Seats are limited, so be sure to make a reservation by dialling 2810 9777. Hong Kong healing practitioner Chan Cudennec will explain how to prepare raw food. And some will be available for you to taste. Also, copies of recipes will be handed out so you can have a go at home.
