CityU students brush up their painting skills in the rain in aid of the environment this week. Fantasy Lau Wai-yin, 21, Lee Man-ching, 20, Sandy Fung Mei-ling and Lam Kin-na, both 23, put the finishing touches to a mural in Ocean Park to coincide with world environment and ocean days.
CityU School of Creative Media and Ocean Park's environmental protection advisory committee teamed up to create the mural, which features the slogan 'caring for the blue planet, you can make a difference' and is aimed at promoting public awareness of environmental issues.
Dr Louisa Wei Shi-yu, assistant professor of creative media, said the project gave students a great learning opportunity. 'The designing process gave them a chance to think about the importance of protecting our planet,' she said.
