It's impossible to reverse time but, according to veteran actress DoDo Cheng Yu-ling, it's not impossible to reverse ageing. For six days of the week, Cheng follows a strict cardiovascular routine of step classes, strength and resistance training and yoga.
'I dislike the pressure of having a personal trainer so I only go to large group classes,' says Cheng. 'I'm especially fond of yoga and I find it spiritually invigorating and relaxing at the same time.'
Regular exercise and good eating habits go hand in hand and Cheng reveals to us her chow-time epiphany: 'We really don't need to eat a lot. We live in such an extravagant society that we overstuff ourselves.'
Veggies boiled in chicken stock and brown rice is her staple meal.
'Bad habits you had in your 20s and 30s will finally manifest themselves in your 40s,' adds Cheng. 'If you don't treat your body right at a young age, it will show. With my new lifestyle, I feel 20 years younger, my mind is clear and I sleep like a baby.'
