Suspected crime boss Michael Soosai, thought to be hiding in India, reveals his alleged corrupt ties with senior officers

A fugitive crime boss wanted for murder and fraud has turned the tables on pursuing police by setting up a website revealing details of his alleged corrupt financial dealings with senior police officers.

Michael Soosai, who is believed to be hiding in India, names the officers he says were involved and outlines their links to other underworld figures.

He has also posted sensitive police documents including interrogation transcripts, naming the policeman who allegedly sold the documents for M$20,000 ($41,000) to a person posing as a Newsweek editor.

'No underworld figure could survive and thrive without the support of the police,' Soosai writes on the website.

Soosai, who has been accused of three murders and more than 20 cases of fraud, relates how senior officers called him 'sir' and gave him the run of police stations. The fugitive claims that he was granted the power to delay prosecutions, free prisoners and lessen or drop charges - all for a fee.
