Comedy king Stephen Chow Sing-chi has been named one of the world's dozen hottest bachelors by a leading United States gossip magazine. The 43-year-old star of the box office hit Kung Fu Hustle is the oldest man on the list, which also includes Irish heartthrob Colin Farrell, Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe and Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx. People magazine bestows the honour in a special edition published today. Although primarily known as a comedian and action hero, Chow tells the magazine he wouldn't mind getting romantic on the big screen. 'I'd like to do a love story with Nicole Kidman,' he is quoted as saying. 'She is gorgeous. She's taller than me, but I can wear heels!' After breaking box office records in Hong Kong, Kung Fu Hustle, Chow's latest movie, is also doing well in the crowded United States market. In a seven-theatre US debut last month, Hong Kong's highest-grossing film ever registered the highest per-cinema box office receipts - US$41,860 - on its opening weekend. Entertainment Weekly said of Kung Fu Hustle it was the first martial arts film since the days of Bruce Lee to 'bust through the limits of physical freedom as wildly and promiscuously'. And E-online declared: 'Quentin Tarantino wishes he were Stephen Chow.' Chow's previous films include Forbidden City Cop and the hugely successful God of Cookery. As well as Chow, Metcalfe, Farrell and Foxx, the magazine anoints American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, British actor Orlando Bloom, late-night talk show host Carson Daly, singer John Legend, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Jake in Progress star John Stamos, Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Dhani Jones and Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Stamos, at 41, is the only other man on the list over 40.
