Talented Agility should sail through for Mosse

Sean Woods and Gerald Mosse have an excellent chance to capture the Flamingo Handicap (Race Seven) this afternoon with last-start winner Agility.

His overall record over the course and distance as well as the rail position - C+3 - is outstanding, having missed the frame just once from four starts.

Agility is facing some of the relatively easier opposition today and should prove very hard to beat from gate five.

He ran impressively on last Friday's barrier trial behind stablemate Trophy and there is every chance that he is ready to sail through without any problems.

The obvious threat comes from Tony Cruz's River Esperanto, who has made a positive impression on two starts.

He finished a creditable second to the highly progressive Green Treasure over the course and distance on May 29 after a five-month break.

With the distinct possibility of more improvement to come in terms of fitness, River Esperanto must have strong claims to notch his first victory here.

Cruz also has a decent chance with Lucky Good Day, who scored on his last outing on the all-weather surface.

It was a good performance, considering he was caught wide for a fair part of the mile journey and he won pulling away from his opposition.

He is capable of proving competitive, but has been rather unpredictable in the past and will need to be decent value before including him in the multiples.

John Moore's Art Trader has shown enough ability to prove competitive against these rivals.

He was well beaten in the race won by Green Treasure and on the face of it, would be hard to recommend off his latest effort.

However, Moore has applied the tongue-tie this time and with champion jockey Douglas Whyte on board, he should be an interesting runner to keep an eye on.

John Size has a trio of entries with Palette Natural, Dynamic Fun and Liberal's Choice.

It would be difficult to make a case for Palette Natural, based on his current form as he looks in the grip of the handicapper.

However, both Dynamic Fun and Liberal's Choice have a decent chance of hitting the frame.

Dynamic Fun will relish the step up in trip this time and should be close to peak condition, given it is his fourth attempt this campaign.

He is a potential leader and if allowed to dictate the pace, then will prove very hard to run down.

Liberal's Choice on the other hand will probably settle on-the-pace. He assumed the role as leader in the race won by Green Treasure before finishing third.

He may have to settle for a similar finishing position once again.

David Ferraris's Red Pepper made an impressive debut for the new yard, finishing fourth to Green Treasure.

He may have improved a fraction but is still hard to recommend off his exposed form this term.

Dennis Yip Chor-hong's Industrial Success becomes a leading chance if there is any rain about, and there certainly has been plenty of that this week.

His chances hinge on the condition of the track, and the wetter, the better.

The recent form of Pretty Trio has been decent, but will need to improve markedly to warrant respect.
